The time has come for one of our most anticipated weekends of the summer!
This Saturday from 7am to 12pm Southern Soirée will have a booth at Pepper Place Saturday Market. Our booth will include sweet goodies like cake pops, a variety of cookies, cupcakes, and muffins. We will also have some great vintage home decor items for sale.
We are so excited and hope to see you all there!!

We have been slacking on our blogs, whoops! It’s a busy time of year for weddings and we have been getting ready for a fun upcoming event next weekend! Pepper Place Saturday Market, Yay!
A while back we mentioned the use of vintage pieces in weddings and that our friend Karen with The French Flea was getting together rentals for just that reason. Well guess what… they are ready!!! Karen has done a wonderful job creating some amazing pieces that I think everyone will love. We really cannot get enough of the work that Karen does and wanted to share with you guys. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We wanted to share with you a few pictures we snapped at the amazing Shoal Creek which we were thrilled to be a part of and was the perfect wedding to kick off the season.
The happy couple danced the night away while Feel the Beat kept the music flowing. One of our personal favorites to watch was the Wobble which everyone participated in dancing. Louise’s Cakes and Things provided the cakes and as always they were amazing. Shoal Creek where both the ceremony and reception were held could not have been more perfect. To the spectacular details of the club house to the friendly staff everything was wonderful! Thanks Amanda and Geoffrey for letting Southern Soiree be a part of your day!
Guess what starts this Saturday, Pepper Place! Pepper Place Saturday Market is a place for the best local growers, food producers, artisans and more to come out each Saturday to share their products with the Greater Birmingham residents April-December, rain or shine!
Here’s some fun facts about Pepper Place. It started in 2000 and has been expanding rapidly. It is located at the old Dr Pepper Plant and Bottling Factory in the Lakeview district. All the vendors are local and at times you will meet generations of families all underneath the same tent. It is a great place to enjoy a Saturday morning with family, friends, pets and more! Yes you can bring your furry friends!
We plan to have our own tent for Southern Soiree at least 4 times this year. We are really excited about it and can’t wait to participate in such a fun family friendly environment. We are going to have lots of our baked goods, cake plates, antique window frames and more! Hope you guys come out and who knows you might even find a goodie or two! We know we will! See you there!

As most of you know we loves animals! We have both adopted pets from the Humane Society and various rescue groups and are always looking for ways to help out our loving furry friends. What better way to help than send a “Valentine” to homeless pets for Valentine’s Day and give a gift that keeps on giving. We have attached the link to the Shelby Humane Society website. You can find lots of information about how to donate or better yet, visit any Humane Society location to find your own special furry friend that will only ask for a little bit of love and always be right beside you to cheer you up.
